“Pardon, good Mercutio, my business was great, and in such a case as mine a man may strain courtesy.” Romeo shares in little detail what he has been doing, but tells Mercutio and Benvolio that he thoroughly enjoyed his ‘business’. The ‘business’ was meeting Juliet over the course of the night and both of them confessing their love for each other. Now in the morning he tells that he enjoyed it, this means that it was not a spur of the moment, but a real feeling.

“I will tell her, sir, that you do protest, which, as I take it, is a gentlemanlike offer.”            This quote is from the nurse. It is showing us that the nurse supports the two lovers and will help them continue their secret relationship. She is going to tell Juliet that Romeo does indeed want to marry her. The nurse considers Romeo as a gentlemen, he offers her money for her trouble but she declines in a polite manner, then accepts.
